Not all Red Wing dealerships are alike. The Red Wing Shoe Store located on the southwest corner of 40th St. and Thomas Rd. is independently owned and operated, with owners working in the store daily. Michael and Rosanne Colistro have been in retail boot sales and repair for over 20 years. Michael began his career as a shoe repairman during high school in Spokane, Washington. He later moved to Ontario, Oregon, where he opened his first boot and shoe repair shop, soon adding boot sales.
Michael's knowledge and fine craftsmanship earned him many awards with the National Shoe Service Institute of America. Knowing the boots from the soles to the laces is what brought him into the Red Wing family. Seeing the quality and workmanship of the Red Wing boots, Michael knew this was a product he could proudly sell and one that he could repair and resole, time after time, for his customers.
Michael is also a Certified Orthopedic Technician. Knowing the medical aspects and performance of the human foot, he is able to professionally custom fit his customers into the best fit possible. Knowing how to properly measure the length, width and arch of each foot - he gives his customers the most comfortable fit possible. Michael also educates his customers on how to break in the boots and proper care to ensure the longest life of the boots.
